Rudyard Kipling 1865–1936

Rudyard Kipling East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet, Till Earth and Sky stand presently at God’s great Judgement Seat;

But there is neither East nor West, Border, nor Breed , nor Birth ,When two strong men stand face to face, though they come from the ends of the earth !

A poem written by Kipling a 130 odd years ago, at a time of The British Raj supreme rule in India and Pakistan .

I have always believed that the words of Kipling's poem meant that the people from the middle east culture and the people western countries culture would, and could never be one, until they all meet God on their judgement day .

We all ,meet god together on our deathbed there is no escape .

In the second verse of the poem Kipling refers to two strong men

I believe one western and one middle east ,both enemies when they meet. Seeing each others bravery, they form a respect for each other and Kipling is saying there is hope for the future for the East to meet the West!

Here in the 21st century what are the chances of the east meeting the west ?

I can hear your brains ticking and thinking How do I answer that !

Words come to mind Racism Black life's matters people of colour different religious beliefs conflict of interests terrorism are all around us every day .

Will the world ever become a peaceful place for us all ?

With out going into TO MUCH DETAIL as I look back over the hundreds of years the world has revolved nothing much has changed EAST not meeting WEST, wars, starvation, religious conquest, lack education, ethnic cleansing and the list goes on .I look forward to see the hope for the future however as much as I try to find a way for peace and happiness I can not.

My faith and my belief in my God and you in your God what ever you perceive your God to be, will keep our attitude of hope love and peace for all in the now and future !
